NAS JRB New Orleans, LA --

We continue to assist our local and state partners with COVID-19 testing across the state. To date our Guardsmen have administered over 91,700 test across all 64 parishes.  Louisiana Air National Guard Airmen and Plaquemines Medical Center personnel operate a drive-through COVID-19 testing site at Belle Chasse Auditorium in Plaquemines Parish.  Airmen from the 159th Fighter Wing’s Medical Group have continuously worked these community-based testing sites since the first location opened in Orleans Parish in mid-March 2020.  Although today is the last day for the Belle Chasse location, the Airmen will be operating a testing site in St. Bernard Parish at J.F. Gauthier Elementary School (1200 LA-46) on Thursday and Friday from 8:00am to 11:00am.  Testing is free and you do not have to have symptoms to be tested.  A form of identification is required.
